Team Building Exercise
Earlier this year, we took a significant step towards strengthening our team bond and communication skills. We conducted an innovative and fun team-building exercise at our workshop. The day was filled with staff training, a toolbox meeting and discussions about the benefits of strengthening our team culture.
The Challenge
Our team was tasked with a fun challenge that required them to pair up and think outside the box—or in this case, inside the box of custom Lego® kits! These kits, supplied by Manly Miniatures, were meticulously designed to replicate the Hanjin drill rigs that are a staple in our fleet.
The Outcome
The exercise included a series of tasks which were carefully crafted to test and enhance our team’s ability to convey complex ideas whilst paying attention to detail and work seamlessly together. It was a test of patience, precision, and partnership. As our team worked together to assemble the miniature drill rigs, they were also building trust and understanding.
The Impact
The workshop was well received. We saw an improvement in our team’s communication skills and witnessed the strengthening of relationships and the deepening of trust among our personnel. It was a clear reminder that at Soil Mechanics, our people are the backbone of our business.
As we continue to navigate complex terrains while drilling, we do so with the confidence that our team is equipped with the skills and bonds to tackle any challenge. We are not just about drilling, we are here to set a foundation for a stronger future.
